Youth Goes to U

Bringing educational and youth programs closer to the students through visiting different universities in the City.

The Local Youth Development Office organized workshops on preparing CV and resume writing, public and impromptu speaking, and how to look pleasant during meetings and gatherings.

Fun and adventurous activities were also prepared to make the experience memorable for the students such as:

  • Kadang-kadang
  • Isang paa, isang gulong
  • Jump Box
  • Active Transport Challenge (biking)
  • Basketball shoot
  • Mountain Climbing
Taguig Sports League

Taguig Sports League

Led by the Sports Development Office (SDO), the Taguig Sports League aims to promote camaraderie, discipline, and sportsmanship among Taguigueños.

Different sports were played such as:

  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Chess
  • Billiards
  • Darts
Inter-Barangay Volleyball Tournament

Inter-Barangay Volleyball Tournament

Taguigueño men and women, aged 15 years old and above, can join the Inter-Barangay Volleyball Tournament. Different teams from each barangay can register.

The tournament promotes companionship among the residents and their physical well-being.

Taguig Generals

Taguig Generals

Taguig Generals is an amateur basketball team playing in the National Basketball League-Philippines. They won their third consecutive championship title for National Basketball League-Philippines Season 2023 Chairman’s Cup last March 13, 2024.

Youth Health Summit

Youth Health Summit

In collaboration with the City Health Office, a health summit for the youth of Taguig was organized to educate them in interesting topics like teenage pregnancy, tobacco/smoking/vaping, mental health, child abuse, HIV-AIDS, drug abuse, and nutrition and wellness.

Various health activities were perepared such as:

  • HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis-B screening
  • HPV vaccination
SPES

Special Program for the Employment of Students and Out-of-School Youth (SPES)

SPES is a program of the City of Taguig in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) that encourages young people aged 15-30 years old to make their free time productive and have additional funding for their studies.

Students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of workers who have lost or will lose their jobs are invited to apply and submit an Application Form to the City's Public Employment and Services Office.

Qualifications:

  • Age 15-30 years old
  • The parents' annual income together with their income, if any, will not exceed the annual poverty threshold of Php 144,360.00 (PSA, 2021)
  • No failing marks in the previous and current semester
